Two very different halves of one town
Whitby sits on the north shore of Lake Ontario between Ajax and Oshawa, with about 138,500 people. For junk removal it really behaves like two places. South of Dundas, around downtown, Port Whitby and the harbour, the houses are older and the jobs tend to be basements, sheds and decades of accumulated storage. North of Taunton and up into Brooklin, it's newer subdivisions, and the jobs look completely different.
Brooklin: newer houses, fuller garages
Brooklin sits at the junction of Highways 12 and 7, north of central Whitby, and it has grown steadily since the 1990s. Thousands of homes went up around the old village core, which now means a lot of two-car garages that haven't fit a car in years, basements finished and then refilled, and back yards with a playset the kids outgrew a decade ago.
Those newer builds also turn over furniture faster. A sectional that doesn't suit the new room, a dining set replaced after a renovation, an exercise bike that became a coat rack. Single-item pickups are completely normal for us, and often cheaper than people expect.
Hot tubs, sheds and back yard cleanups

Brooklin is a straight run down Highway 12 from us in Blackstock, so the north end of Whitby is one of the quickest calls we get. Same-day pickup is often possible when the schedule allows.
Common questions
Can you actually take a hot tub?
Yes. Hot tubs are one of the more common calls we get in Whitby. We break them down on site and haul the pieces out. Send a photo of the tub and how it's sited (deck around it, gate width, that sort of thing) and we can quote it properly.
Do you come out to Brooklin?
Regularly. Brooklin is about 20 minutes from our base in Blackstock straight down Highway 12, so it's one of the areas we can most often fit in on short notice.
Is it worth calling for just one item?
Absolutely, and it's a lot of what we do. A single mattress, one couch, one fridge. You don't need a full truckload to be worth our time, and a single item costs a lot less than people usually assume.
